Trip to Wine region Kakheti – 2 Days
On this trip, you will explore most famous wine region of Georgia – Kakheti, its unique wine making method, traditional dishes, its culture and nature.
During your Kakheti trip you will also drive through semi desert of David Gareja, visit monasteries over thousand years, stay in a cosy hotel run by locals, taste several homemade wine and Georgian grappa.
Kakheti was always important for Georgia not only because of agriculture and wine, but also because of its strategic location, as the first Georgia’s region at the border to Persian empire. Because of its location, Kakheti was mostly the first Region of the country to be attacked and destroyed by Muslim neighbour’s, Persians, Turks and Dagestan’s, but Kakheti managed always to get up on his feet again, to plant the vineyards, restore the monasteries, sing polyphonic songs and welcome the guests again.
* If you don’t want to spend two days in Wine region, you can also enjoy our wine trip to Kakheti as a day trip.
